Hi All,

A very dear friend of mine has started an email campaign to help raise some awareness for LCAM. I am sharing her letter here with all of you and I hope you will feel free to copy it and send it out to all of your contacts. I've left her signature line intact to encourage everyone to sign this wonderful letter and also feel free to pay tribute to our loved ones that we have lost or are fighting this beast.

LETS ALL MAKE SOME NOISE AND RAISE AWARENESS FOR LUNG CANCER

MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!.... For Lung Cancer Awareness






Please keep this ribbon going around the world.  It is for Lung Cancer Awareness!!
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month.  Please help by getting out the message that Lung Cancer is NOT just a smokers disease and that it is terribly underfunded.  Here are some facts about Lung Cancer:
  • Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the US across all ethnic groups
  • Lung Cancer will kill more people than breast,prostate, colon, liver, kidney and melanoma cancers COMBINED
  • Lung Cancer will kill twice as many women as breast cancer
  • The majority of lung cancer patients will be diagnosed so late that they will die within one year of diagnosis
  • Lung Cancer receives less funding per death than any other type of cancer
  • Radon exposure is the second leading cause of Lung Cancer and the leading cause in never smokers
  • Every two minutes, someone dies of Lung Cancer
  • 40-50% OF ALL PATIENTS DIAGNOSED WITH LUNG CANCER ARE THOSE WHO NEVER SMOKED A CIGARETTE IN THEIR LIFE OR QUIT 20+ YEARS AGO.

Please, please help raise awareness for this terrible disease.  Keep this ribbon going and make others aware of the true facts regarding Lung Cancer.

Hit forward and put your name, city and state on the bottom of the list.  Keep it going - someones life could be saved knowing these facts.  REMEMBER - if you still think Lung Cancer is only a smokers disease, you are wrong - and you could be DEAD wrong!!!

Please feel free to honor someone who has been taken by this terrible disease.
